# Conviction Markets

> Conviction Markets is an open, permissionless onchain coordination protocol for the agentic era, pioneered by [Outlier Ventures](https://outlierventures.io). It is infrastructure that anyone can build on, fork, or deploy.

Conviction Markets is not a product or a company. It is a coordination primitive where sustained commitment compounds into fractionalized ownership of outcomes, and capital only moves when work is verified.

Core thesis:

- Milestone-gated capital: funding unlocks progressively against demonstrated milestones
- Commitment over prediction: sustained commitment matters more than forecasting
- Verified-work-driven funding: capital moves only when work is verified
- Two-layer architecture: a productive layer for funding and building, separated from a speculative layer for exposure to outcomes
- Ownership linked to risk taken and contribution, not passive capital

Roles: Curators frame problems. Sponsors commit funding. Contributors build solutions. Verifiers attest that milestones are met.
